Photo of the Day

A fog bow is similar to a rainbow, except it appears as a bow in fog rather than rain. Due to the small water droplets they appear mostly white, with a red outer edge and blue inner edge. Fog bows are formed in the same way as rainbows in that light is reflected inside tiny water droplets and emerges to form a large circle or arc of approximately 42°C centred on the opposite the sun.
