Photo of the Day


 

Mervyn O’Gorman (1871-1958) has several notable titles to his name. He is known as being one of the greatest British engineers, and was head of the Royal Aircraft Establishment during WWI. He is also one of the early pioneers of color photography, using the Autochrome process in 1913. Here is a picture of his daughter Christina.

It looks surprisingly modern.
