Music of the Day


No matter what the instrument, great or small, complicated or simple, there is always a master who absolutely excels at that instrument. Lucera Tena happens to be fantastic at castanets, which are merely two blocks of wood held together by strings that are used for percussive purposes, usually to accompany dancers.

Here, Tena shows just what the castanet is capable of, as she performs La Boda de Luis Alonso at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.
