That Was An Impressive Lighting Strike


 

Redditor Fidget08 snapped this photo of a tree with its bark blown off after it was hit by a lightning.

 

And because that story, although very interesting, isn’t enough to warrant a separate post, here’s a completely unrelated but very fun thing.

How I wonder what you are.
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.

Choose any word in the first two lines, count its letters, and count forward that number of words. For example, if you choose STAR, which has four letters, you’d count ahead four words, beginning with HOW, to reach WHAT. Count the number of letters in that word and count ahead as before. Continue until you can’t go any further. You’ll always land on YOU in the last line.

 

In other words, that’s the lost answer to the riddle. “How I wonder what you (the star) are.” And the answer? You. You are that star. Very neat.
