Incredible City Growth

This is an aerial view of El Ateuf Tajnint, M’Zab Valley, Algeria, a city home to what must be the most claustrophobic streets in the world. Houses and shops are squeezed into the small valley wherever possible, creating the hectic layout seen above. Streets are practically nonexistent, and townspeople inch their way between houses and over rooftops wherever possible. The widest streets are barely wide enough to fit a horse and cart! I’d hate to live in that town.
