Pepperoni Pizza Kills The Wrong Bacteria, Kills You

Ding-Dong! ….Yippee! Pizza’s here! That wonderful cheesy, tomato-y, pepperoni-y salty, sweet, and chewy meal that all of us enjoy. But have you ever thought about what you are actually eating when you swallow that bite of pepperoni? If not, you are one among many.

Pepperoni, ham, chicken, bacon, and any other meat that you may try to convince yourself is healthy is actually the most dangerous part of the food. Pizza meat is heavily and frequently sprayed with a toxic antibiotics and lactic acid which is supposed to kill all the bacteria on the raw meat that could make you sick. Actually, that antibiotic is slowly killing you by killing tons and tons of bacteria in your body, particularly your intestinal tract, while leaving the bad bacteria such as E. Coli, and salmonella, safe and sound.

There is a team of researchers in Ireland and Denmark working on a safer way to keep bacteria from growing on pizza meat, but a solution appears to be far away. The US and EU have regulated the amount of antibiotics allowed to be sprayed on meat, but it still kills bacteria in your system instead of on the actual meat. So as a solution, stick to vegetables or cheese. The pizza still tastes good, right?
