This is a very interesting view on why a lot of us dislike photos ourselves. If you have a set idea of what something should look like, such as a banana, and then someone shows you an apple labelled as a banana, your mind immediately rejects the apple because it isn’t your perception of what a banana should look like. Similarly, if you see a photo of yourself, usually at an angle other than straight on, your mind rejects the image because it is not what you see in the mirror. Very interesting.
