Mars

I just looove this photograph! It was taken from space and shows the Curiosity’s landing site on Mars and the land that is hoped to be explored over the next year. The Curiosity is a newly landed rover that has already been churning out fantastic photos, shedding new light on the red planet. The discolored spot surrounding the state-of-the-art machine is dust that was exposed to the surface after the familiar red dust coating the ground was blasted away when the rockets landed the Curiosity.
