Hanging out at the Brooklyn Bridge – literally

The New York City Municipal Archives just published over 870,000 photos from the collection of more than 2.2 million pictures of New York in the 20th C.  The Atlantic’s In Focus published 53 of the best shots from the archive, including the one above with a group of painters suspended on the cables of the Brooklyn Bridge. The photo was taken on Oct. 7, 1914 by Eugene de Salignac.
